- Read, review, and understand contract documents, approved drawings, specifications, method statements, technical requirements, and subsequent revisions or updates.
- Inspect and monitor mechanical works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and contractual requirements.
- Verify the Contractor's compliance through site observations, inspections, measurements, testing, and review of quality records.
- Carry out regular inspections of mechanical installations including, as applicable, HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, water supply, fire-fighting, and associated building services.
- Undertake site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE) and/or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
- Witness and verify relevant testing, commissioning, pressure testing, flushing, equipment installation, and other mechanical inspection activities, as required.
- Monitor and maintain records of the Contractor's daily manpower, plant, equipment, and other site resources.
- Maintain accurate daily records of construction activities, work locations, Contractor's personnel and equipment, progress, observations, and construction methods.
- Monitor the delivery, storage, handling, and installation of approved mechanical materials and equipment.
- Ensure that only approved materials, equipment, shop drawings, and installation methodologies are utilised on site.
- Implement and monitor applicable Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and project quality requirements.
- Identify and report defective, non-compliant, or poor-quality workmanship and assist in monitoring corrective actions and closure.
- Follow up and implement site instructions and technical directions issued by the RE/ARE and relevant discipline engineers.
- Review and verify site measurements, quantities, and installation checks as instructed by the project management team.
- Coordinate mechanical inspections with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, Civil, and other MEP disciplines to identify and resolve interface issues.
- Monitor the progress of mechanical works and promptly report delays, constraints, technical issues, and potential risks.
- Assist with snagging, de-snagging, testing and commissioning, final inspections, and project handover activities.
- Maintain proper records of inspections, observations, test results, site instructions, and other relevant project documentation.
- Monitor compliance with project Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements and immediately report unsafe practices, conditions, or violations.
- Perform other site inspection and supervision duties as assigned by the Resident Engineer / Assistant Resident Engineer.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 7 years of overall relevant experience in mechanical/MEP construction and supervision.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant UAE experience is required.
- Demonstrable experience in construction supervision within an engineering consultancy environment.
- Previous experience on building, high-rise residential, villa, or large-scale residential development projects is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, installation practices, inspection procedures, testing and commissioning requirements.
- Familiarity with applicable UAE authority requirements, international codes, project specifications, and HSE requirements.
- Good understanding of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, WIRs, material inspections, NCRs, snagging, and project close-out processes.
